Gilles Jacob
Gilles Jacob, the man who is always at the top of the stairs at the red carpet premiere galas of the Cannes Film Festival, has published "La vie passera comme un reve: Citizen Cannes" ("Life Will Pass As If It Were a Dream: Citizen Cannes"). Though I haven't read it yet, it's interesting that he chose Jane Fonda to be on the cover with a very young Monsieur Jacob. Parenthetically, and it may not be covered in the book, the Jacob family took refuge during World War II at a hotel in Nice owned by another Jewish family and filled with Jewish intellectuals, actors, writers, composers and others whose names today are known by all. That is subject for another book.
